DOD TO CO-SPONSOR E-BUSINESS EXECUTIVE SUMMIT

The Department of Defense Chief Information Office in conjunction with the Federal CIO Council and the National Information Assurance Partnership is co-hosting the Spring Secure E-Business Executive Summit, May 7-9, 2001, at the Crystal City Hilton in Arlington, Va.

Bringing together industry and government representatives, the summit will share ways of achieving future cost savings and efficiencies in the federal information technology community. The conference will explore three parallel tracks--strategies, architectures and technologies--for successfully transforming electronic government. In particular, it will look at ways government sources can utilize emerging Internet and information assurance solutions based on best practices in commercial industry.

Symposium topics include Process Transformation for E-Government, Total Enterprise Integration, Methods for Interoperability Assurance, Architectures for Secure Internet Infrastructure, and Commercial Best Practices in Secure E-Business.

The E-Business Executive Summit is open to federal employees, industry representatives and others interested in the Department of Defense's electronic initiatives. An invitation from the Department's Chief Information Officer Arthur L. Money is available at http://www.c3i.osd.mil . [link no longer available]
