Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Brig. Gen. Cecil R. Richardson for appointment to the grade of major general while serving as the Air Force deputy chief of chaplains, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C.
