General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has nominated Col. Walter D. Givhan, U. S. Air Force, for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. Givhan is currently assigned as director, Secretary of the Air Force and Chief of Staff Executive Action Group, Headquarters U.S Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
