Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has made the following nominations:

 

Navy Adm. Gary Roughead has been nominated for re-appointment to the grade of admiral and assignment as commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Va. Roughead is currently serving as commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

 

Navy Adm. Robert F. Willard has been nominated for re-appointment to the grade of admiral and assignment as commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Willard is currently serving as vice chief of Naval Operations, Pentagon, Washington, DC.
