The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Lance Cpl. Jeremiah E. Savage, 21, of Livingston, Tenn, died May 12 of wounds received due to hostile action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 4^th Marine Regiment, 1^st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, at Camp Pendleton, Calif.
