RESERVE, NATIONAL GUARD UNITS CALLED UP - SEPTEMBER 27

Approximately 607 Army Reservists are being called to active duty as part of the partial mobilization authorized by President Bush. This brings the total Army National Guard and Army Reserve called to active duty to approximately 907 to date.

The soldiers called to active duty in this announcement serve in 11 different units from 10 states, of which nine units will provide military police support.

The Coast Guard Reserve has called a total of 2,691 reservists to active duty within their authorized ceiling of 5,000 established on Sept. 19, raising the total National Guard and Reserve called to active duty to more than 16,200.
