The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. John B. Trotter, 25, of Marble Falls, Texas, died November 9 in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when he was on patrol and his unit came under attack by enemy forces using small arms fire. Trotter was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Howze, Korea.
