The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died Aug. 15 in Taji, Iraq, when the enemy attacked using indirect fire.
Killed were:
Sgt. Princess C. Samuels, 22, of Mitchellville, Md. The soldier was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
Spc. Zandra T. Walker, 28, of Greenville, S.C. The soldier was assigned to 615th Aviation Support Battalion, 1st Aviation Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
