The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Capt. John J. McKenna IV, 30, of Brooklyn, N.Y., died Aug. 16 while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Forces Reserve’s 2^nd Battalion, 25^th Marine Regiment, 4^th Marine Division, Albany, N.Y.
