GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Army Lt. Gen. Larry R. Jordan, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as deputy commanding general and chief of staff, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Va. Jordan is currently serving as deputy commanding general, U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army, Germany.
