IACET has a rich history of promoting educational quality. Created in 1968, IACET's Criteria and Guidelines for Quality Continuing Education and Training Programs are the standards by which hundreds of organizations measure their educational offerings.

Based on the original Criteria and Guidelines, IACET's newly-approved ANSI/IACET Standards address processes for designing, developing, and delivering continuing education and training, not the content of individual programs, which means that our Standards apply across all disciplines.  Through an emphasis on the educational process, the Standards ensure clear program development and valuable learning outcomes.

IACET Authorized Providers complete a comprehensive application and undergo a strict evaluation of their educational processes according to the ANSI/IACET Standards. Only IACET Authorized Providers can offer the IACET CEU, the hallmark of quality in continuing education and training.

Why your organization should become an IACET Authorized Provider:

"Not only does this achievement add more leverage and value to our courses, more importantly, it gives our customers the continuing education credits they require in order to keep their professional certification current. This accreditation also provides BrainLAB with greater recognition in the Continuing Education and Training community."
Laura Bunte
Training Design and Development Manager
BrainLAB, Inc.

IACET Authorized Provider Status Means the Organization:

  • Demonstrates compliance with proven, research-based standards created in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Education
  • Is dedicated to high standards for quality in continuing education and training
  • Awards the IACET CEU, the hallmark for quality in continuing education and training.

IACET's members are dedicated to quality continuing education and training. IACET members play an active role in the continuing education and training community, while gaining access to a vast network of educational professionals. IACET membership consists of three levels: Individual, Authorized Provider (AP), and Licensed Standards User (LSU). While all levels of membership support IACET and maintain full voting rights, only Authorized Providers grant IACET CEUs.
