Liberty Disaster Recovery Center Closing: FEMA Just A Call Away

AUSTIN, Texas -- As the FEMA/State Disaster Recovery Center in Liberty prepares to close, disaster recovery officials remind everyone that FEMA is always just a phone call or mouse click away.

The mobile center is scheduled to complete its operations at close of business, Wednesday, Dec. 10. Until then, it remains open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, closed Sunday only. The center is located at the former Walmart Building, 1820 N. Main St., Liberty, Texas 77575.

Residents can still apply or follow up on their applications by going online to www.fema.gov, or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY 1-800-462-7585 for the speech- and hearing-impaired. Both numbers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until further notice. The deadline to apply is Dec. 12.
