AUSTIN, Texas -- Contractors interested in learning how to prepare bids and proposals to do business with the federal government following Hurricane Ike have a chance to do so in a free class.

"Bid and Proposal Preparation" will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Del Mar College, Center for Economic Development, 3209 S. Staples, Room 167, Corpus Christi, TX 78404.

The class, which is open to the public, is sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Small Business Development Center Network - South-West Texas Border, Del Mar College, and the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) - Corpus Christi.

Attendance does not guarantee contract award.
