New Hours For FEMA Teleregistration

Springfield, MO -- Beginning this weekend, the FEMA toll-free teleregistration number will be closed on Sundays.

Missouri residents in disaster-designated counties whose homes, business or personal property sustained damage as a result of the severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding that began on May 4 may apply for disaster assistance by calling 800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY: 800-462-7585, Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The deadline to apply to FEMA for federal disaster assistance is July 7, 2003. Deadlines vary for other disaster assistance programs, such as Disaster Unemployment Assistance.

Residents in the following 68 Missouri counties are now eligible to apply for disaster assistance: Audrain, Barry, Barton, Bates, Benton, Bollinger, Boone, Buchanan, Callaway, Camden, Cape Girardeau, Cass, Cedar, Chariton, Christian, Clark, Clay, Clinton, Cole, Cooper, Dade, Dallas, Douglas, Franklin, Greene, Henry, Hickory, Howard, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Johnson, Knox, Laclede, Lafayette, Lawrence, Lewis, Lincoln, Marion, McDonald, Miller, Moniteau, Montgomery, Morgan, Newton, Osage, Perry, Pettis, Pike, Platte, Polk, Pulaski, Ralls, Randolph, Ray, Saline, Scott, Shelby, Stoddard, St. Clair, St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, St. Louis, Stone, Taney, Vernon, Washington and Webster.
