Lenexa, KS -- The joint state/federal Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) opened to assist Kansas residents affected by the severe storms and tornadoes beginning May 4 and continuing, will be closed Sundays beginning this weekend.
The DRCs will remain open between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday until further notice.
The DRCs provide answers to disaster-assistance questions and offer detailed program information to people who have already applied for assistance by calling the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) toll-free number: 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), (TTY 1-800-462-7585).

Residents who have questions about their disaster assistance status may also call the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), (TTY 1-800-462-7585). The Helpline is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CDT seven days a week until further notice.
