Electron Microscopy Unit

The Microscopy Unit provides state-of-the-art technology available to all intramural researchers.

  • The facility provides sample preparation and analysis ranging from conventional and cryo ultrastructural studies to immunolocalization of selected antigens for scanning, transmission, and confocal microscopy.
  • A variety of advanced methods, protocols, and equipment are available to accommodate different needs.
  • Real-time viewing of samples by video image sharing is available to NIAID users.
