	2008 Hurricane Season The 2008 Hurricane Season was one of the most active on record. In this image, taken on August 28, 2008, three storms can be seen in various stages: Fay, Gustav, and Hannah.
	Hurricane Katrina A GOES-12 visible image of Hurricane Katrina shortly after landfall on August 29, 2005 at 1415z.
	Hurricane Katrina The eye of Hurricane Katrina makes landfall in the bayou near Buras, Louisiana on August 29, 2005 at 1315z. At landfall, the storm was a Category 3 hurricane.
	Hurricane Katrina (Tropical Depression 12) A GOES-12 visible satellite image of Tropical Depression 12 on August 23, 2005. This storm would become Hurrciane Katrina three days later on August 26.
	Hurricane Katrina (Tropical Disturbance) A tropical disturbance in the ICZ during the 2005 Hurricane Season, as seen by the GOES-12 satellite on August 12, 2005. This system would eventually develop into Hurricane Katrina fourteen days later.

Viewing the Images

All images come in two resolution sizes. Low resolution images are typically 640 x 480 pixels. The high resolution images are usually 1280 x 960 pixels or larger. In some cases, very large format 300 dpi images are available for printing.
