Immediately following today's Department of Defense Press Briefing, Dr. Edward L. Warner, III, the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategy & Threat Reduction, will present an on the record briefing on his recent Defense Consultative Group (DCG) visit to Moscow. Topics will include an update on the DCG discussions, progress on shared early warning systems and Y2K.
Consequently, the Navy and Marine Corps team briefing on the urban warfare exercise, Kernal Blitz, originally scheduled for 2:30 p.m., will be conducted immediately following Warner's briefing.
