Support for these supplements will come from funds provided to NIH through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Recovery Act) of 2009, Public Law Not all NCRR awardees are eligible to apply for Recovery Act-supported administrative supplements. Recovery Act administrative supplements from awards with the following activity codes will not be considered: C06, G20, all K awards, R13, R21, S10 and all T awards. The NCRR administrative supplement application due date is May 18, 2009. Additional receipt dates will be at the discretion of NCRR. Grantees in their final year of current funding, or with no-cost extensions, should contact their designated program officer before applying. READ MORE >> Competitive Revision ApplicationsInvestigators and U.S. institutions and organizations with active NIH funded investigator-initiated awards (R01, R33, R37, R21, U01) reviewed by the Center for Scientific Review (CSR) may submit competitive revision applications (formerly termed competitive supplements) to leverage the resources, expertise and infrastructure of the NCRR centers and center-like programs through significant expansion of the scope or research protocol of approved and funded projects. For investigator-initiated grants not reviewed by CSR, please contact your funding institute or center for eligibility. Support for these revisions will come from funds provided to NCRR through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act), Public Law 111-5. BackgroundThe American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 provides NIH with up to $10.4 billion to be obligated over two years for a variety of biomedical research and research support activities. Funding opportunities for administrative supplements and competitive revisions (formerly called competitive supplements) are part of the overall NIH Recovery Act investment strategy, as described at www.nih.gov/recovery. |
