Judge David H. Coffman
Judge David H. Coffman is a graduate of Harvard Law School (L.L.B. 1967) and Southern Methodist University (B.A. 1964). He served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1970.
Judge Coffman began his legal career prosecuting white-collar crime for the Department of Justice. After a brief stint in private practice, he joined the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, where he eventually served as Deputy Assistant General Counsel for Enforcement, and later argued appeals for the Solicitor's Office.
In May 2005, Judge Coffman was appointed as a Supervisory Administrative Law Judge in the Arlington, Virginia Region of the Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals, Department of Health & Human Services. He was sworn in as an Administrative Law Judge at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in September 2006.
