What station information does NDBC need?

First, NDBC needs to know certain information about each station:

1. the location to the nearest second,
2. the station's exposure to the marine environment by providing a photograph,
3. the types of measurements made and the sensors used,
4. site and sensor elevations (or depths),
5. acquisition frequency (for example, hourly), averaging times, and
6. a suggested station name.
