Publications Identification of Affiliations

General principles

NOAA should not be spelled out, unless required by the journal.
ESRL, CIRES, CIRA, CU, and CSU should always be spelled out.
NOAA in front of ESRL and as part of the ESRL name is preferred.
Contractor affiliations are optional, but should be spelled out if used.
Division name, spelled out only, is optional and should be after ESRL.
Papers with multiple ESRL authors should use a consistent approach.
