FERC Edward Gingold honored by National Capital CFC

Edward Gingold, a staff attorney of more than 30 years at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), was honored today with the Star of the Year Award for civilians by the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFC) for organizing FERC’s participation in the annual federal employee workplace charity fundraising drive.

Gingold, FERC’s CFC campaign manager for the past five years, was awarded with Star of the Year during a ceremony today in Washington, D.C. He was cited for his work in expanding FERC’s participation in the CFC Campaign and for the work he has done in his community. FERC’s 2008 CFC Campaign was the best in its history with $402,870 contributed by employees. This number was 128 percent of FERC’s dollar goal.

“Edward Gingold exemplifies the federal employee we should all strive to become,” Acting FERC Chairman Jon Wellinghoff said. “Edward not only is exceptional in his work, but he has been an inspiration to us all in his dedication to volunteer efforts on behalf of the CFC and its member charities.”
