Mission

Our primary focus is protecting ecological systems from contamination and remediating contaminated sites. To support this mission, we conduct research related to:

• soil carbon,
• the transport of radioactive waste,
• hydrogeologic models of the Pajarito Plateau,
• enviornmental cleanup methods and costs,
• and the transport of biological contaminants accross urban areas.

Goal

We study the interrelationships of ecology, hydrology, soil science, geochemistry, and geomorphology at or near the land surface.
