Mission complete: Charleston Airmen return home
Lt. Col. Christopher Mann reunites with wife, Isabel, May 3 at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., More than 140 Airmen from the 16th Airlift Squadron returned from their 120-day deployment to the Middle East in support of operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom and operations in the Horn of Africa. During the deployment, 16th AS Airmen flew the C-17 Globemaster III with more than 3,000 sorties and 6,900 combat flying hours logged.
