Mission
|

To provide knowledge-based information services supporting patient
care, clinical and management decision making, performance-improvement,
graduate medical education, patient and family education, and medical
research for the medical treatment facilities of the Walter Reed Army
Health Care System (WRHCS), the North Atlantic Regional Medical
Command (NARMC) and DoD Tricare Region 1.

"The Medical Library of the Walter Reed Army Medical Center contains
over 20,000 books and bound journal volumes. The library subscribes to over
450 journals in print, and has access to approximately 1700 titles
electronically. The library also has a history of medicine book collection
and microfilm archives dating back 100 years. All library computers are
networked and have complete Internet access."
