The site is best viewed with the following browsers-Internet Explorer 6.0 or later or Mozilla Firefox 1.0 or later.
The minimum screen resolution required is 1024 x 768.

Information about the layers included in Ship Tracker:

• NOAA's Raster Navigational Charts: NOAA's Raster Navigational Charts are produced by NOAA's Office of Coast Survey. They are current through March 2006. The charts shown in Ship Tracker are not to be used for navigation. See site above for background information.
  
• The GOES Imagery and the NEXRAD Radar comes from NOAA's nowCOAST portal
  
• The current ship locations and environmental data are streamed using a Web Feature Service (WFS). Click here for the capabilities file.
