Description

Workshop on composites materials for Offshore usage/solutions. The workshop was held in Houston, Texas on October 31, 2000 to November 2, 2000. The objectives of this conference were:

  1. Review major worldwide, state-of-the-art developments on composites for offshore applications;

  2. Identify and forecast new opportunities of utilizing composites in the petroleum industry to save cost and provide enabling capabilities;

  3. Discuss issues and provide guidance on standards, codes, certification and regulatory concerns of using composites for offshore operations; and

  4. Inform key industry personnel and decision makers of the benefits available with composite materials in their operations.

Progress Workshop was completed and final payment was made in 2001.
