Performing Activity | Billington Osbourne-Moss Engineering, Ltd. |
Principal Investigator | Dr. Helen Bolt |
Contracting Agency | Minerals Management Service |
Estimated Completion | Complete |
Description | This was a Joint Industry Project (JIP). The goal was to develop and provide guidance and information on the determination of reserve and residual strengths, redundancy, and progressive collapse mechanisms of three-dimensional tubular frames. This included the detailed design, fabrication, instrumentation, and ultimate load testing of a 3-D frame representative of offshore jacket structures. |
Progress | The project has been completed. A copy of the final report has been distributed to the participants. |
