Description This is a Joint Industry Project (JIP). The purpose of this project is to set up a workshop to define the state of utilization of advances materials in marine structures. The workshop will identify the technical and nontechnical barriers which hinder a fuller utilization of advanced materials. Structural design specialist, welding engineers, inspectors, and corrosion experts with special knowledge of materials properties will provide a breadth of knowledge and experience to the endeavor. The workshop will produce an archival record currently planned to be a hardbound book.
