Seventeenth-Century Dutch Drawings from American Collections

January 28-March 13, 1977

Overview: 87 drawings were on view, dating from 1600 to 1702. They were selected from more than 20 public and private American collections and included 15 works by Rembrandt van Rijn. 80 additional prints, related drawings, and several books from the Gallery's collection supplemented the presentation. The exhibition was coordinated by Arthur K. Wheelock Jr. and circulated by the International Exhibitions Foundation. It was organized for the International Exhibitions Foundation by Franklin W. Robinson of Williams College, and was supported by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
