During 2005, the integrative, multidisciplinary International Field Years on Lake Erie (IFYLE) research program was initiated. This program had three foci: 1) to identify the causes of hypoxia; 2) to identify the ecological consequences of hypoxia; and 3) to understand and forecast formation of harmful algal blooms (HABs). We seek hypoxia- or HABs-related presentations from IFYLE participants, and non-IFYLE participants alike, so that we can extend our understanding of these two issues in the Great Lakes.
