Familial cold autoinflammatory syndrome

Familial cold autoinflammatory syndrome is a type of periodic fever syndrome. It is caused by a mutation in the CIAS1 gene. Common symptoms include rash, fever, and joint pain triggered by exposure to cold. Treatment involves the avoidance of cold exposure.[1]
