ADDENDUM – CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF BIOINFORMATICS AND
COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGY SOFTWARE

RELEASE DATE: April 4, 2003

NOTICE: NOT-CA-03-020

National Cancer Institute (NCI)

This addendum is to announce that NCI will participate in PA-02-141.

The goal of PA-02-141 is to support the continued development,
maintenance, testing and evaluation of existing software that will
evolve into well-designed systems useful to a broad community. The
mechanisms to be used are R01, as well as competitive supplements to
existing R01, R33, P01, P41, P50 and P60 grants in other participating
Institutes or Centers.

The objectives of this PA coincide with the goals of the NCI in the
area of bioinformatics since the NCI has a broad interest in the
development of bioinformatics tools that will allow for development,
maintenance, testing and evaluation of existing software related to
cancer diagnosis, evaluation, treatment and prevention.

All other provisions of PA-02-141 remain unchanged. The complete
Program Announcement may be accessed at
