We envision the health of the nation and the world benefiting and improving from timely, high-quality, and accessible health and safety information.
We provide leadership and promote innovation in public health informatics, health statistics, and health marketing.
Our Approach

Developing strategic customer-centered, evidence-based products for creating and communicating health information that promotes healthy behaviors and improves health outcomes.

Collecting, maintaining, and disseminating health information from integrated health information and surveillance systems.

Conducting and supporting research and data collection in the federal vital and health statistics system to guide public health actions and policy decisions.

Developing and fostering collaborations with state, local, territorial and tribal partners to increase CDC’s effectiveness and achieve public health goals.
