Donald Shriber, JD, MPH
Interim Deputy Director for Policy, Legislation and Communication
Shriber is the lead for developing, communicating, and implementing CDC′s global and domestic policy. He coordinates the activities of the Office of Strategy and Innovation, the Office of Enterprise Communication, CDC′s Washington Office, and the Congressional activities currently managed by the Financial Management Office.
Prior to this appointment, Shriber directed and managed CDC′s Washington, DC, office in his capacity as associate director of CDC. He represented CDC in Washington before HHS, other Administration officials, and non-governmental entities. He also directed and oversaw CDC′s legislative strategy.
Shriber has served as counsel to the Commerce Committee, US House of Representatives, Washington, DC, from 1987-1995, where he directed the Committee′s legislative initiatives on the federal budget and healthcare.
Mr. Shriber received a bachelor of arts from Harvard University, JD from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his master′s in public health in 1987. He is a member of the California and Washington, D.C., bars.
