On August 12th the first-ever NWHI Reserve Educator at Sea expedition took place aboard the NOAA Ship Hi'ialakai.

Navigating Change: Hokulea's Voyage to the NWHI
On May 2, 2004 the Polynesian Voyaging Canoe Hokule'a departed from Sand Island, O'ahu for a month long voyage to the NWHI.
