AGI32

AGI32 logo.

3D lighting design and rendering software package for electric lighting and daylight analysis. AGI32 produces full-color renderings and predictive lighting system calculations simultaneously for all applications of electric lighting and daylighting in interior and exterior design projects. AGI32 displays dramatic calculation and rendering speeds making repetitive visualizations realistic, and dramatically shortening the conceptual part of the design process. Complex architectural environments are easily created internally, or externally created 3D environments can be imported via DWG or DXF format files. A comprehensive library of manufacturers lighting product data is included. Screen Shots

Keywords

lighting, daylighting, rendering, roadway

Validation/Testing

Basic validations available on request

Expertise Required

A basic understanding of the application of electric lighting products is fundamental. Daylighting basics are also valuable for those interested in daylight analysis. Training valuable for high-level application.

Users

>5000 worldwide

Audience

Anyone interested in the design and quantification of electric lighting and/or daylighting. Market includes: specifying engineers, architects, manufacturers, manufacturers reps, Transportation engineers, utilities, design build contractors.

Input

For basic analysis: project dimensions, luminaire photometry (light fitting data) in IES standard format (library included with product). For more advanced analysis and rendering: surface color and reflectance, texture, 3D models (optional)

Output

Basic estimator analysis includes formatted output (interior, roadway). More elaborate output is similar to developing a Cad drawing. Numeric results of Illuminance, Luminance, Exitance and more. Renderings in RGB can out output to BMP or VRML. Pseudocolor imagery graphically depicts luminance or illuminance patterns on all surfaces. Rendered output can be radiosity based or radiosity + raytrace to reveal specular components and obtain higher quality imagery.

Computer Platform

PC based, Pentium 4 recommended.

Programming Language

C and Visual Basic

Strengths

Numerical analysis and fast high quality rendering for exterior and interior lighting and daylighting

Weaknesses
