MHIP 10.0 MHIP UPDATES This version of the MHIP is FEMA’s initial plan for implementation of Map Modernization. FEMA will update the plan prior to release of the Draft FY05-FY09 MHIP through FEMA’s Flood Hazard Mapping Web Site in spring 2005, as shown in table 10-1. In the meantime, FEMA will continue to seek the input of stakeholders to ensure that national goals and stakeholder needs are reflected in the plan. The cyclical process will continue with planned releases through FEMA’s Flood Hazard Mapping Web Site in the spring and fall of each year. The latest plan will supersede the prior plans. Table 10-1. Maintaining adequate funding for developing the national flood layer and implementing cost-saving processes, procedures, and tools will be critical. Through the continued efforts and support of FEMA’s flood mapping partners, implementation of this plan will help FEMA meet its mission to protect lives and property from devastation caused by floods and other disasters.
