Why cash your Federal check and carry around all your money?
Why worry about your check getting lost or stolen before you even have a chance to cash it?

DON'T TAKE THE RISK! SIGN UP TODAY FOR DIRECT DEPOSIT.

When you open an ETA, you also sign up for Direct Deposit. In the 27-year history of Direct Deposit, no deposits of payments have been lost. Direct Deposit also helps eliminate check fraud. Three to nine people typically handle each check at a financial institution, versus one or two for electronic transactions. Electronic transactions are subject to strict security controls. Finally, electronic transactions protect your privacy. Checks contain personal information; for example, names and home addresses.

Chances are, you have better things to do each month than make trips to deposit or cash your Federal check. Now, there is a safer and easier way to get your payment. Once you open your ETA, instead of getting a check in the mail, your payment will be deposited into your ETA—on time, every time. Your payment can go right to your account at a bank, savings and loan or credit union. You can join the millions of Federal recipients who currently have their payments automatically deposited every month.

Here are the basic features of an ETA:

bullet Your ETA will cost you no more than $3.00 a month (some Providers charge less).
bullet Your ETA is federally insured.
bullet You can take money out of your ETA at least four (4) times a month.
bullet You don't need to keep a minimum balance in your ETA, unless the law requires it as with some credit unions.
bullet You'll get a monthly statement listing all deposits and withdrawals.
bullet You will not be able to write checks using this account.

Some ETA Providers may charge other account-related fees. You'll be told about them before you sign up for your ETA.
