2008 COBRE Program Evaluation

As part of the Government Performance Results Act (GPRA), the National Center for Research Resources was tasked to evaluate the two major programs of the Institutional Development Award program.

A process evaluation of the Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) program was conducted to provide NCRR with an early assessment of the implementation of the program. The study included the initial 18 COBREs awarded in 2000. The study identified successes of the program as well as strategies for making improvements to the program. The following links are for the full report and a set of slides highlighting the key aspects of the evaluation.
