The
Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council (BETEC) is a
NIBS
Council focusing on effective cooperation among public and private
interests seeking energy efficient and environmentally responsible
homes and buildings. BETEC focuses on the performance and interaction
of building envelope components and systems and their effect on the
environment.
BETEC hosts semi-annual
symposiums
to promote technology transfer. Past symposiums have addressed Air
Barrier Technologies, Sustainable Building Materials, and Security
Glazing. See

BETEC publishes proceedings from its
symposiums along with other related publications.
Members of BETEC actively participate through a variety of
Research Coordinating Committees.
