Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) for the City of Redondo Beach and the City of Torrance, California

Shows Changes to the Flood Insurance Study Report for Doris Coast Drain

LOMR Effective Date: September 29, 2008
Area Affected: Doris Coast Drain - approximately 3,000 feet southwest of the intersection of Palos Verdes Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard.

Overview/Background

This LOMR is an update to Volume 2, Pages 150 and 151, of the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report for Los Angeles County and Incorporated Areas, scheduled to become effective on September 26, 2008. The new FIS report only partially incorporated modifications made to the Summary of Elevations Table by a LOMR dated December 15, 1997 (Case No. 98-09-097P), which revised the Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHAs), the areas subject to inundation by the base (1-percent-annual-chance) flood, the Base Flood Elevations (BFEs), the Summary of Elevations Table, and the Flood Insurance Zone Data Table. This LOMR does not revise the SFHA boundaries or BFEs revised by the December 15 LOMR along the revised reach.
