Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) for the City of Palmdale and City of Lancaster, California

Shows Changes to the Flood Insurance Study Report for Amargosa Creek and Amargosa Creek Tributary

LOMR Effective Date: September 29, 2008
Area Affected: Amargosa Creek - from just upstream of Avenue M to just upstream of Avenue K and Amargosa Creek Tributary - from just upstream of Southern Pacific Railroad to just upstream of Valleyline Drive.

Overview/Background

This LOMR is an update to Volume 2, Pages 112 - 113, of the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report for Los Angeles County and Incorporated Areas, scheduled to become effective on September 26, 2008. The new FIS report only partially incorporated modifications made to the Summary of Discharges Table 7 by a LOMR dated May 20, 2005 (Case No. 04-09-0375P), which revised the Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHAs), the areas that would be inundated by the base (1-percent-annual-chance) flood, and the Summary of Discharges Table. This LOMR does not revise the SFHA boundaries and discharges from the May 20 LOMR along the revised reaches.
