Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) for Los Angeles County, California

Shows Changes to the Special Flood Hazard Area for San Martinez Grande Canyon Creek

LOMR Effective Date: September 29, 2008
Area Affected: San Martinez Grande Canyon Creek - from approximately 300 feet upstream of the confluence with the Santa Clara River to approximately 1,500 feet upstream.

Overview/Background

This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) is an update to the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) Panel 06037C0800 F. This FIRM panel is included in a new countywide FIRM and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report for Los Angeles County and Incorporated Areas, scheduled to become effective on September 26, 2008. The new FIRM and FIS report only partially incorporated a LOMR dated July 2, 2002 (Case No. 01-09-559P), which revised the Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHAs), the areas that would be inundated by the base (1-percent-annual-chance) flood, along San Martinez Grande Canyon Creek. This LOMR updates FIRM Panel No. 06037C0800 F to entirely incorporate the July 2 LOMR along San Martinez Grande Canyon Creek, thereby superseding the September 26 FIRM Panel for the revision area. This LOMR does not revise the SFHA boundaries from the July 2 LOMR along the revised reach.
