Description:
Heidelberger in the office of the dean of faculty at University of Kyoto School of Medicine, October 8, 1955. Heidelberger was visiting Japan en route to the meeting of the World Federation of United Nations Associations in Bangkok, which he attended as a delegate of the American Association for the United Nations. While in Japan he lectured at the Universities of Kyoto, Osaka, Hokkaido, and Tokyo. His six lectures to the faculty at the School of Medicine at the University of Tokyo were collected and published as Lectures in Immunochemistry (1956). Heidelberger was a frequent traveler, and gave lectures in many countries over the course of his long career.
