Severe Thunderstorms & Tornadoes
April 7th & 8th 2006

National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed several damage locations throughout central Alabama. It has been determined that tornadoes touched down in Marion, Winston, Jefferson, and Talladega Counties. Six tornadoes have been confirmed to date. Additionally, Straight line wind damage occurred in several counties along with the occurrence of large hail.
