SIS's <http://sis.nlm.nih.gov/enviro.html> Toxicology and Environmental Health Information Program (TEHIP, http://tox.nlm.nih.gov) produces <http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/> TOXNET(r), a collection of toxicology and environmental health databases that includes: * <http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/cgi-bin/sis/htmlgen?HSDB> Hazardous Substances Data Bank (HSDB(r)): comprehensive, peer-reviewed toxicological data for over 4,700 chemicals. * <http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/cgi-bin/sis/htmlgen?TOXLINE> TOXLINE(r): references to the world's toxicology literature OLE_LINK3from PubMed/MEDLINE and other toxicology literature * <http://chem.sis.nlm.nih.gov/chemidplus> ChemIDplus: a chemical dictionary and structure database * <http://toxmap.nlm.nih.gov/> TOXMAP (http://toxmap.nlm.nih.gov/ <http://toxmap.nlm.nih.gov/> : a web site that uses maps of the United States to show the amount and location of certain toxic chemicals released into the environment * <http://wiser.nlm.nih.gov/> WISER (http://wiser.nlm.nih.gov <http://wiser.nlm.nih.gov/> ): a PDA application designed to assist first responders in hazardous material incidents * <http://hazmap.nlm.nih.gov/> Haz-Map(r) (http://hazmap.nlm.nih.gov <http://hazmap.nlm.nih.gov/> ): web site that links jobs and hazardous tasks with occupational diseases and their symptoms. SIS also produces: * <http://sis.nlm.nih.gov/dirline.html> DIRLINE(r) (http://sis.nlm.nih.gov/dirline.html <http://sis.nlm.nih.gov/dirline.html> ): a directory of organizations offering information and referral for many diseases and * <http://healthhotlines.nlm.nih.gov/> Health Hotlines(r) (http://healthhotlines.nlm.nih.gov/ <http://healthhotlines.nlm.nih.gov/> ): online and print directory of health-related organizations with toll-free telephone numbers. Some SIS products help to address the toxicology and environmental health information needs of the general public: * <http://toxtown.nlm.nih.gov/> ToxTown ( <http://toxtown.nlm.nih.gov/> http://toxtown.nlm.nih.gov/): an interactive guide to toxic chemicals and environmental health issues in everyday locations. It is a companion to the extensive information in the TOXNET collection of databases. Tox Town also offers some resources in Spanish ( <http://toxtown.nlm.nih.gov/espanol/> http://toxtown.nlm.nih.gov/espanol/) * <http://householdproducts.nlm.nih.gov/> Household Products Database: a consumer guide that provides information on the potential health effects of chemicals contained in more than 6,000 common household products used inside and around the home. This database allows consumers, scientists, and health professionals to investigate ingredients in brand-name products.
