Subject: TOXNET (http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov) Survey

While using TOXNET (http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov), you may have been asked to complete a survey evaluating your satisfaction with the system's content and function. This survey is presented at random intervals, so not all users will receive it. You are invited to complete the survey as often as you would like; its questions will be slightly different each time you receive it. Space is provided for writing-in suggestions for improving TOXNET. We sincerely appreciate your taking the time to complete the survey; your feedback is the best tool we have to improve our web resources. The first customer satisfaction score for TOXNET is 76 (based on Nov-Dec 2003). For comparison, the average federal government score is 71, with a range from 48 to 86 (for the National Library of Medicine's MedlinePlus web site). In the private sector, recent scores include an 88 for Amazon.com, 82 for Google.com, and 70 for NYTimes.com. The TOXNET survey uses the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) methodology. The ACSI was created in 1994 at the University of Michigan Business School and is widely used to evaluate customer satisfaction with major corporations and now with federal resources. Information on the methodology and satisfaction scores is available at http://www.theacsi.org/overview.htm. *********************************************************** *********************************************************** *********NLM-Tox-Enviro-Health-L NOTICE********* You are receiving this message as a subscribed member of NLM-Tox-Enviro-Health-L, an announcement list available from the National Library of Medicine, Division of Specialized Information Services (http://sis.nlm.nih.gov).
