Subject: 2004 Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) data released on NLM's TOXNET

The 2004 Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) (http://www.epa.gov/tri/tridata/tri04/index.htm) has been released on TOXNET (http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/cgi-bin/sis/htmlgen?TRI). The new release (1987-2004) contains 1,553,330 records. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) TRI (http://www.epa.gov/tri/) provides information on the releases of over 600 specific chemicals into the environment as reported annually by industrial facilities around the United States. NLM's TOXMAP (http://toxmap.nlm.nih.gov) uses maps of the United States to help users visually explore TRI and Superfund Program (http://www.epa.gov/superfund/index.htm) data. NLM's TOXNET (http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/) is a group of databases on hazardous chemicals, environmental health, and toxic releases. **** NLM-TOX-ENVIRO-HEALTH-L NOTICE **** You are receiving this message as a subscribed member of NLM-TOX-ENVIRO-HEALTH-L, a discussion list available from the National Library of Medicine.
